How to object and express your concerns

Give the title objection to CA//17/00519. You can object on grounds of poor advertisement of Environmental Impact Assessment. Below is a sample comment you can use.

Specify a particular area of concern (see below and issues section on www.cockeringroad.com website). Choose from air pollution, cycle routes, over stressed infrastructure, noise pollution, light pollution, traffic and parking, loss of protected landscape, reduction of biodiversity and ecology in an AHLV (Area of High Landscape Value) adjacent to an SSSI ( Site of Special Scientific Interest), loss of amenity value due to urbanization of Cockering Road and footpaths.


Dear Mr Mackie, I have just learnt that the Environmental Impact Assessment for CA//17/00519 was published.  
The site was allocated in the local plan without adequate consideration of the Environmental Impact that the development will have.   I wish to object.

Canterbury City  Council has conceded that Chartham needed to be consulted. Now is your chance to make a Difference!  If you live in Shalsmford Street, Mystole, Perry Court, Rattington street. St Augustine’s, near the North Downs Way or Chartham Hatch, you can make a difference by writing a message on this form , titled objection to CA//17/00519

Dear Mr. Mackie, The overall impact of CA//17/00519 is of concern to me, for numerous reasons including pollution, traffic, infrastructure, landscape and ecology. I live in Chartham and feel that this development will have major impacts upon the Parish. The council has registered its objection and I wish to add my comment.

If you copy and paste it to the Chartham Parish Council  and these City Councillors who are your Ward Councillors, and Simon Thomas who is occasionally the planning officer, they have a responsibility to represent you. If the Councillors are on the planning committee they have a responsibility to represent your comments there.
